Merino is a special type of wool that naturally cleans itself. For this reason, Merino products need to be washed much less frequently and can simply be refreshed by hanging them in the air overnight. If the garments do need to go in the washing machine, they should always be turned inside out to reduce pilling. We recommend washing them cold or at a maximum of 30 °C to minimize shrinkage. Since wool is a natural fiber, it tends to shrink more during the first wash compared to synthetic fabrics. Tip: Soak the garment in cold water for about 12–24 hours before the first machine wash. Use the gentlest spin cycle possible in the machine. Regular liquid or powder detergents are fine — do not use wool detergent, fabric softeners, or bleach. Wash products sorted by color. Do not tumble dry; let them air dry in the shade.
